Women’s 7 Deadly Dating Sins: Stalker behaviour

Showing signs of stalker behaviour does not necessarily mean taking things to extremes – it just means demonstrating that you have a keen eye for checking up on people. Dates don’t like to be made aware of this sort of thing straight away – indeed, they probably don’t want to be made aware of it at all!

If you must check up on your date on things like Facebook before you meet up with them or get to know them properly, don’t make it obvious that you’ve done so. Don’t make it clear that the topics they’re covering are old news to you because you’ve clicked through the entire history of the last year’s activity on their social networking accounts.

For one thing, this demonstrates that you’re not prepared to let things happen naturally. It also suggests that you might be a bit too suspicious for online dating. Moreover, it doesn’t bode well for the future if you already have the spies out. This sort of behaviour will turn a guy off very quickly, especially if they are the type of person who really values their freedom.
